Co-presented with Debaser, AMASHOWZA Live is Ottawa’s outdoor scene. Music, art, and food under one roof. Every edition brings together artists and communities from all walks of life. Every edition is a new world, built from the ground up.

Through a collaboration between AMASHOWZA, Aire Commune and the Downtown Ottawa BIA, a once-vacant downtown lot was transformed into Metcalfe Plaza, a cultural hub at the heart of the capital’s urban revitalization. From morning to night, the site delivers a sustained program of music, art, wellness and local culinary experiences, and outdoor activity by day, DJ sets, live performances and cultural programming by night. With over 100 events hosted and more than 20,000 visitors to date, Metcalfe Plaza is redefining urban activation in Ottawa.

Made possible by Vision centre-ville Gatineau, this project brought two full days of community-focused programming to Place Laval in downtown Gatineau in summer 2026. The first day opened with an alcohol-free coffee party and vendors market hosted by Qahwa House and ended with an Afro-Caribbean night with We The Grooverz. The second day featured a step dance class with Kemi and a live music jam with Simora and the Satellites, and closed with a Noche Latina with Giza.
